In India there are numerous temples and holy places fromMount Himalaya to Cape Kanyakumai.Devotees pay obeisance to God by visiting these temples very often.When we go to temple,we have to obey or observe certain rules ,customs or principles.Take a neat bath before going to temple. If you are sick or old you should at least wash your face and foot.It is also customary to wear dress according to prevailing code of conduct or custom of each temple.All these activities are purifying the mind and body.When we stand before the presiding deity of the temple with folded hands, we should visualise only our favourite God only. When a devotee of Lord Vishnu goes to a Siva temple, he should think that he is standing before his favourite God Vishnu and he should think that he is worshippng Lord Vishnu himsellf. This is because there is only one God, but in different names and forms, we adore Him.
