It is one of the Upanishads Commented by Ad Shankara.It is associated with Black Yajur Veda.This Upanishad is divided into three sections or vallies.1) The Siksha Valli 2) The Brahanda vally 3) the Bhrigu Valli.The first valli deals with the discipline of Shiska.
The second valli comments on Brahman which is a concept of Hinduism.The statement 'Brahmavida Apnoti Param' which means one who knows Brahman attain supreme state is the formula to get high level gist of this valli.Brahman is the unchanging,infinite,immanent and transcendant reality which is the Divine Ground of all matter ,energy, time ,space and every thing in this Universe.
Third valli deals how son of Varuna Bhrigu obtained realisation of Brahman through repeated tapas under his father's guidance
